write like you're running out of time

Well, another Christmas has come and almost gone. Got just about everything I asked for - CSI Miami season 2 and the special edition of Shadow Chronicles, a new watch and new bedsheets.

The folks totally surprised me with a new iPod nano (Gen 3, 8GB w/video), as apparently Mom forgot that I already had a regular iPod from three Christmases ago (I had originally gotten a Creative Media mp3 player which crapped out on me in less than a month, and the store let us exchange it for an iPod). The Nano came with a portable speaker system (which is docking adaptable for the first and second generation Nanos but not third, natch), and my original plan was to dock the old iPod in the stereo and use the Nano as my portable mp3 player. But then the brother expressed interest in having a larger-gig iPod for all of his music, since all he has is one of the discontinued Minis, so I passed my old one on to him. So everything worked out all right on that score.

I'm contemplating naming the new iPod. So far all I've come up with is 'Fred'. *shrugs* I'unno.

Tomorrow is another day off of work (yay!), but I'm not sure what we're going to be doing yet. I'm hoping we do a shopping/movie day up in Rockford.
