I got the notice in my inbox just a couple minutes ago (thank God for Gmail notification) - my account's finally been upgraded from paid to permanent.

Akino, I was planning this as a surprise since I first made the purchase order, but I'm giving the rest of my paid time to you. Use it in good health :) If you're interested in my extra paid userpics, let me know; otherwise I might transfer those to one of my RP accounts.

The room is repainted, back together (for the most part) and looks terrific. Now all I have to do is get my bookshelves and my books back in and get my folks off my ass about my organization skills or lack of same and I am in business.

Will probably be sending off a second payment for my permanent account tomorrow. This one is most definitely going to require a transfer of funds as I don't get paid until Tuesday after next.

Finally heard something back from LJ; they haven't received my payment yet.

Figuring that it's been almost three weeks since I sent it out, I'd say it's probably safe to say that the check either got hijacked or otherwise lost somewhere along the way.

This is just great. An opportunity to get a permanent account comes along, and something has to happen to screw it up.

I am THISCLOSE to not even renewing my paid account next year and just going back to a basic account. I'm not going to send LJ any more of my money if it's not going to get there.

Sorry, Akino. Looks like I won't be able to use that icon after all.

EDIT: Also, the wait for my permie account is getting fucking ridiculous. I mailed the check out on June 22. It is now July 8, a little over two weeks. Plenty of time, more than enough I think, for the check to get to Six Apart AND to clear, ne?

Well, I've done it. I made the purchase order yesterday, sent the check off this morning.

Hopefully by the end of the month or thereabouts, I will be the owner of a permanent account. Y'all are stuck with me *insert evil laughter here*
