Jun. 1st, 2011 09:18 pmWell, the Cubs lost, Aramis got beaned in the face by a ground ball, Dad spilled part of his beer on my foot and when we got home from the game two police cars were parked in front of our next door neighbor's house and we think the ambulance took someone from that house away.
And it's only Wednesday.
And it's only Wednesday.

Sep. 20th, 2008 10:01 pmFirst off, the Chicago Cubs are the 2008 Central Division Champions. All bow to the awesomeness that is the Chicago Cubs.
Second, I played hooky from work (not really; I swapped shifts with a co-worker) to go to the Pec Thing with Mom. Came off with a fairly good haul this time around. Major purchases of note are The Great Mouse Detective on DVD and a set of two of the Basil Rathbone/Nigel Bruce Sherlock Holmes films - Dressed to Kill and Terror By Night - on VHS. I hemmed and hawed over that last one, because 1) I really prefer DVD to VHS and 2) I couldn't remember how good the reviews on either movie had been.
Also found a couple more keys to add to my skeleton key collection, one of which is now affixed to the tassel of one of my bookmarks. And Mom thinks its a weird hobby :p

Apr. 29th, 2007 04:00 pmCardinals relief pitcher Josh Hancock dies in car crash Sunday April 29
Just a damn shame. It doesn't matter if you're a Cubs fan or a Cardinals fan, its a lousy thing to have happen to anybody.
