*bounces and squees*
Mar. 31st, 2004 07:59 pmYes! Hooray! Hallelujah! Yippee! And other expressions of great glee and joy.
I am now employed in a steady job!
Last week I put in an application at my local library for the position of part-time clerk. The sign said that it was mostly afternoons and some Saturdays, but it was a far sight better than the hours I had been working in the past few weeks (read: none). Yesterday the director of the library called to set up an interview.
Today I went to the interview. After the questions were over and done with Penny (that's the director) asked me if I wanted the job. I said yes, and I got it. Monday I go in for some training, and I start Tuesday. Right now it's only Tuesdays from 2 until 8 (closing), and alternating Saturdays. But there is always a chance for me to pick up more hours.
So yay me! I have a job!
