Feb. 28th, 2010 12:32 pmGo to Wikipedia and type in your birthday (month and day). Then you write down 3 events, 3 births, 3 deaths, 3 holidays, and tag 3 friends.
My birthday happens to fall on May 1, which is slightly more exciting than I initially thought it was.
Events:
1776 – Establishment of the Illuminati in Ingolstadt (Upper Bavaria), by Jesuit-taught Adam Weishaupt.
1893 – The World's Columbian Exposition opens in Chicago.
1915 – The RMS Lusitania departs from New York City on her two hundred and second, and final, crossing of the North Atlantic. Six days later, the ship is torpedoed off the coast of Ireland with the loss of 1,198 lives, including 128 Americans, rousing American sentiment against Germany.
Births
1852 – Calamity Jane, American Wild West performer (d. 1903)
1929 - Paul Herlinger, American voice actor (d. 2010)*
1939 – Judy Collins, American folk singer
Deaths
1920 – Princess Margaret of Connaught (b. 1882)
1965 – Spike Jones, American band leader, musician, and comedian (b. 1911)
2003 – Miss Elizabeth, American wrestler (b. 1960)
Holidays
May Day
Lei Day – Hawaiian holiday for the Lei.
Roman Empire – all-female festival in honour of Bona Dea.
Eh, if you're my friend consider yourself tagged ;)
*Technically Paul Herlinger wasn't on the list of births for the Wikipedia entry on May 1. But he was an amazing talent and just wonderful in the role of John Avery Whittaker from Adventures in Odyssey that I couldn't not recognize him, especially after I found out we shared the same birthday.
