Shallow much, people?

Please, please for the love of God and Agni will you people stop moaning and groaning about Zuko cutting off his queue and how it makes him omgwtfbbq!less hawt? It's a fucking symbolic gesture! Zuko and Iroh cutting off their topknots signifies that they've cut all ties with the Fire Nation! It wasn't just a whim, or a fashion faux pas. Besides, I don't see you hypocrites saying one word about Aang being bald. But oh no, if Zuko cuts off his ponytail it's a fucking tragedy.

There's more to the main characters than just looking pretty!

THANK YOU. I'm amused that this has been the subject of at least three posts now. Like -- of all the other things that went on in this episode, this is what fandom has to focus on? Zuko's hair?

I should've known that was going to freak fangirls out. See, this is why I don't go to any Avatar comms. Because the fandom is (unfortunately) generally idiotic.

I was paying more attention to the fact that Zuko is so eager to have his father want him back, that he quickly snapped some very nasty remarks at Iroh, the only family member who has shown any real affection towards him. It fascinates me just how much he still looks up to Ozai, even though he really is a total ass.

Hair-cutting ritual, and I missed it? Damn, wish I knew that Avatar was going to be new (not to mention when it was on).

Grr. And this is Akino. I'm on my aunt's computer and I can't be bothered to log in.

Finally saw the episode, and I am so glad I did. God, it was good. And yay for symbolic gestures!

Saw the caves one too. Honestly, I was more impressed with Sokka managing not to kill the hippie than I was about any romantic subplot. Yay for Sokka keeping his head! (And yay for Barbara Goodson being in it--yay, Digimon VAs moving into anything now!)
