Look at your LJ userpics list. If you have fewer than 50 icons, pick every fifth one. If you have between fifty and seventy-five icons, pick every seventh one. If you have over seventy-five icons, pick every tenth one. If you have fewer than ten, pick all of 'em. List them on your LJ, and tell everyone exactly why you have it, why it's interesting to you, and what significance it has. And who made it.
I have 200 icons now. Unless otherwise noted, the icons that appear here were made by Yours Truly.
Fiyero and Elphaba have been my OTP for Wicked since before I even saw the musical. Sadly, I cannot remember who created this icon.
I am a Reborn Child of the Eighties and I'm not afraid to admit it; I absolutely adore the cartoon series Pound Puppies. This icon here features Howler, the musician and crackpot inventor of the group voiced by Robert Morse. Created by yours truly; you can tell by the crappy quality.
This icon is a combination of two of my favorite things: Avatar: The Last Airbender and Lord of the Rings. And for the life of me, I can't remember who made this one, either.
When The Little Mermaid was released on DVD a few years back, included with the bonus features was an animated short from an aborted third installment of Fantasia. It was called "The Little Match Girl". I am absolutely in love with that short, so when I found screencaps I immediately started making icons. This one is my favorite.
Another icon from Avatar: TLA, this time from the always-quotable Sokka. Always a good icon for triumphant moments. Created by
whoresque.
A long time ago, or what feels like it anyway, I wrote for Lord Archive's Digimon Diaries universe, chronicling the adventures of the Parisian Digi-destined. This here is Catherine, leader of the Paris team. At the moment all I remember of who made this icon was that it was someone else in the Diaries Guild; I want to say who I think it is, but I'm afraid I'll get it wrong and then I'll get hit.
Growing up, Skeeter was always my favorite Muppet Babies character, even if I never got why she was never a Muppet. So it pleased me, in a way, in my adult years when I discovered the existence of the "Muppet Kids" books that showed everyone's favorite Muppet Babies characters as school children - including Skeeter. Just when I thought I'd never see her get to grow up...
This is Timothy McGee: NCIS agent, probie, author and, yes, geek. Icon by
poisonedxxapple.
Another Muppet-y icon, this time featuring everyone's favorite flustered musician from Sesame Street, Don Music. Who needs a *headdesk* icon when you can have a *headpiano*? Icon by mindset @ JournalFen.
My third Avatar icon of the meme. This icon features the only picture we have (so far) of Korra, the Avatar after Aang and the focus of Bryke's upcoming mini-series "Avatar: The Legend of Korra". I'm expecting nothing less than awesome from it. Icon by
emmy_roo
Going back to the Muppets, we have Statler and Waldorf. They've been making riffing on people cool since 1976. Yet another icon that I can't remember the maker for.
Speaking of cool, here's fave actor Roddy McDowall in one of my favorite roles, that of Bon Chance Louie in Tales of the Gold Monkey. Icon by
mythichistorian
Revisiting Avatar yet again, this time the trading card game. Malu here is a character from said game, a female Airbender with the eponymous title of "The Ghost Witch". Although there's hardly any meat to her background I have a special fondness for her, probably because I've been RP'ing her at Milliways for the past four or so years.
The fandom here is Lions, Tigers & Bears, and this little guy here is named Orson. He just so happens to be falling to his death (he gets better). I would tell you more, but then we'd be here all day and this is a meme, not a dissertation. Just trust me, it's better than it sounds.
I'm a die-hard Cubbies fan. I don't need no fancy-schmancy icon with a picture of the logo or one of the players or anything like that though it might be nice.
This is Scooter. He's a go-fer. Icon by
perletwo_ljcozy
And this is my Tiger-kitty. We adopted him two years ago, a couple of months after our Toto died. Naturally he's a lot bigger now than he was in the picture I made this icon from, but his voice still sounds like a kitten's.
As Linus so eloquently put it, "This is the time of year to write to the Great Pumpkin". I've always wondered just how he started believing in that. I've also wondered who it was that made this icon.
Nothing much to see here; just a winter-themed icon I made from a wallpaper.
And finally, one last hurrah from Statler & Waldorf, giving us their opinion on this meme (or perhaps memes in general). Icon by
