Finale reactions lj-cut for your phobias.
CSI: First off...the one vic was a little obsessed with the Civil War now, wasn't he? And okay, I kinda bought the chauffuer/dresser's story about giving his boss an honorable death by putting him on the train tracks...but that still doesn't explain why the fuck he undressed the guy and then burned his uniform. I mean...the hell?
I didn't think Ellie would come up to see her dad, but it didn't surprise me that she was digging into his pension and everything. "Circling like a vulture," to quote Sofia. I kinda wish she hadn't gotten scared and bolted at the end, but I guess she can only face her dad when he's in a coma.
And as for the ending...I'm not surprised, but it's still a bit out of left field for me. Unless they were dropping hints this whole past season that just blew over my head.
E.R.: Oh. My. Fucking. God. This is a worse cliffhanger than season 10's, with Jing-Mei and Pratt driving off the bridge after Mr. Road Rage shot at 'em.
Was Ray putting Pratt on earlier, or is he really that clueless? The woman just lost her husband, dipwad! Stop circling her like a goddamn vulture and give her time and space to grieve! And I know I wasn't the only one who got choked up when they showed those flashbacks of Neela and Gallant.
And was I the only one cheering (on the inside, at least) when Neela gave Michael's father his medals? Because seriously, he's probably the only one who would appreciate them for what they mean. Neela would rather have her husband than his medals, thank you.
Finally...is the E.R. staff obtuse? Seriously, Sam practically told them were Luka was; she even called Abby "Abigail"! Didn't any of them stop to think, "Hey, Sam kept telling us to look in the suture room. Maybe there's something in there we should be checking out?"
I don't know how I'm going to make it through the summer.
Fortunately there's always TM RP...
ETA: *grrs* How many times does it have to be said, people? There is NO new episode of Avatar airing tomorrow night on Nick! They're showing another stupid FOP hour-long special instead. You'll just have to wait until next week (uness the ep is up early on iTunes again). Would it hurt you to go back a few pages in the comm and see if anyone else has asked the same question? Odds are, it'd pop up at least once on every page.
