Found out about this via memlu.

I didn't know omichan or her girlfriend mayumi. Didn't share interests, wasn't in the same communities. But for something like that to happen to a person...it's just wrong. It's wrong, and the bastard must be caught and I'm going to help even if the only way is by spreading the word through this entry.

mayumi, my prayers are with you and with Amanda's family. omichan, rest in peace.

This is horrible - it's like they're being punished for trying to be nice to a stranger. It really deteriorates the value of trust and faith in your fellow man.

My sympathies to omichan's family and to mayumi. I'll pray for you, too.
