Writer's Block: What Kind of Wonderful?

The Muppet Christmas Carol. This is my all-time favorite adaptation of Charles Dickens' classic story. And it's made even more bittersweet by the fact that it's the Muppet family's first production without Jim and Richard.

I agree with you, although I am also quite fond of Patrick Stewart's A Christmas Carol because it was amazingly faithful to the book and actually used my favorite line about coffin nails being the deadest piece of ironmongery.

The muppets were pretty faithful, too, though, and I tear up EVERY time at the song that Michael Caine sings with Belle.

Agreed. I just watched that movie last night. My favorite line is still, to this day, "LIGHT THE LAMP, NOT THE RAT!" Plus, it was good to see some of the Fraggle Rock characters used in crowd scenes.

Did you catch "Letters to Santa"? That was more about comebacks! I was happy to hear the Electric Mayhem, Rowlf, and Robin have a few more lines than they've had in recent years, and it was even good to see Luncheon Counter Monster again!
