Well, made my quarter-yearly* trek up to Tomorrow is Yesterday earlier today. Runaways #30 has been acquired, as has #1 of the Runaways/YA Secret Invasion tie-in. Also snagged some back issues of Robotech: Invasion and (finally!) the fifth issue in the Prelude to the Shadow Chronicles series.

New Runaways canon means more plotting for Milliways, but that will have to wait until...probably Friday, depending on if the brother and I are busy entertaining another munchkin.

*which might have to change to more frequent trips if Runaways gets back on a regular, once-a-month release schedule. If not, I may just have to rely on the kindness of strangers torrents and [livejournal.com profile] scans_daily to get my Runaways fix.

PTSC

...I hate Exedore's redesign in that. He looks like a Robotech Master. Or Benjamin Franklin. What the hell, people?

Not even touching how he ends up... >:(

Runaways I know a lot about, but I'm not sure if I want to start on it yet.

Temporary Rant

That design of Exedore is indeed the hardest for me to get used to, even though it's not the weirdest. It's the circumstances, and that it is close to the original design, but also spectacularly off.

And I overall disliked PTSC/SC. The Robotech canon continuations have to dance around legal issues and appease all factions, instead of creating a more organic continuation. Not to mention continuity in those five issues was a mess, the art was poorly laid out, and the huge gap between the OS and the Shadow Chronicles is now undefined because the Sentinels stuff is not canon.

Thank God for the novels, is all I can say.

And thank *you* for your compliments on "Chivalry". :D

...Wow, now Terry Moore is doing Runaways? Neat. Still going to be thinking about that. I would probably go for the two omnibus editions, if they're still in print. The colourized digests look badly-printed.

Heh. I have the entire PTSC set, too. It was for the same reason I watched Macross 7: I might have disliked the direction Exedore was taken in, but I wanted to see things for myself, hell or high water.

I'm also going to watch "Shadow Rising" if it ever gets off the ground. I've heard it's been delayed again.

I agree that Janice's old design was better. In the movie, it was hard to tell her and Ariel apart at some points.

Man, I need to get caught up on that. Considering the entire mess that universe is in right now, I didn't have time to read it sadly.

Not past the first six issues anyhow.
