It's official - I am the proud owner of another bout of the Common Cold. Oh joy. My throat, which was sore as hell yesterday, is now not so bad. But I am coughing occasionally and my sinuses are clogged like you wouldn't believe. I think I must have done something to earn myself some bad karma points somewhere, because I just now realized that this started coming on after I volunteered to work 9 to 5 at the library tomorrow for one of the other ladies there. Hopefully with the aid of some Day-Quil and a packet of Kleenex, I'll be able to get through tomorrow.

In other news, I'm considering entering NaNoWriMo this year. Not sure what I'd write about yet, if I did enter. Part of me is leaning towards fanfic, since that's (relatively) easy for me. And the other part of me wants to go the more challenging route of writing an actual, original piece of fiction completely unrelated to any of my fandoms. If I do wind up entering NaNoWriMo, I'll more than likely end up putting all my non-related fic writing on hold, including anything Diaries-related.

If anyone has any suggestions/opinions to offer, please, feel free.

And today's LJ icon is for tonight's episode of EM:HE, which was the re-run of the Piestewa family. That episode still moved me even after the second viewing.

Gah...I share your misery on the cold, because I've just come down with one myself, and I can't figure out why. Oddly enough, this is just days after the boyfriend came down with something too. Because we're 4,000 miles apart, he and I are joking that colds can now be transmitted online.

Hope you feel better soon.

Eep! For the coughing thing- if you have access to them- there's a kind of cough drop they're calling cold-ease that has zinc in it. They taste disgusting, but do they EVER work.

And if you do Nanowrimo this year, I wish you the best of luck, but think you're crazy. Amazing sense of accomplishment when you finish though.

No bad karma for Lady I. Somebody else is getting bad karma for wishing a cold on you. -nodnod-
