Happy Birthday, Richard Hunt!

Today is the birthday of Muppeteer Richard Hunt, performer of Scooter, Beaker, Janice and Sweetums among various other beloved Muppet characters. Were he alive, he would be 54 years old.

I had hoped to update my Scooter website with my list of all of Scooter's appearances in Season 1 of the Muppet Show, but time and other factors have conspired against me. Maybe I can get that finished sometime this week; I dunno.

But anyway, here's to you Richard. If they celebrate birthdays in Heaven, I hope you have a good one.

I got the Season One DVD set of The Muppet Show, so Richard Hunt, as well as Jim Henson, have been on my mind lately.

Scooter was in the Muppet Wizard of Oz. Made me happy to see him again, even in a rather small role (assistant to the Wizard).
