Girl's night out

Tonight was a fun night. Mom and I went to see Harvey Korman and Tim Conway at the Coronado Theatre. The place looks really nice after it was redone. The only thing I was curious about is who would be brave enough to play an organ that's on a hydraulic platform. I'd be scared to death, personally.

The show was great. Harvey and Tim were in top form, which isn't surprising. I wish I'd thought to bring my digital camera with me because there were some pretty good moments during the show. The best of which, in my opinion, was during the airline sketch when Harvey meant to say "it's genetic" about an allergy and instead said "it's genital." Definately the biggest laugh of the night, bigger than any they got during the dentist sketch. The only thing about the show that I didn't enjoy very much was the woman that was part of the act. She does impersonations; most of them were pretty good, but it seemed like she got as much or more stage time as Harvey and Tim did. And the audience had come to see those two, not her. But that's just my opinion.

Anyhoo, we hit TGI Friday's for dinner after the show. But that was after we found out Old Chicago would be a twenty to thirty minute wait. And we finally got to a table at Friday's after a thirty-five to forty-five minute wait.

But...it was an afternoon/evening well-spent. Wish I'd brought my camera though...

Wow...you got to see a friend of the Muppets AND a friend of Mel Brooks (OK, so they're both the same person) in one night! And I'm surprised that Tim Conway never appeared on TMS, seeing as how Harvey and Carol Burnett both did. I could see Statler and Waldorf trying to one-up his "Dorf" character...instead of "Dorf On Golf", Waldorf would issue a video called "'Dorf On Heckling".

Statler: "Is that the best you can do?"

Waldorf: "Use some creativity if you're going to make fun of US!"

Glad you had fun though. The last comedy concert I went to was "Weird Al" Yankovic...it was hilarious, but a different kind of hilarious, methinks.

The only thing about the show that I didn't enjoy very much was the woman that was part of the act.</i. My friend and her fiance just saw that show last weekend. She said the exact same thing you did about the lady.
