1. What did you do in 2009 that you'd never done before?
Helped move a library probably counts.

Resolutions? What resolutions?

6. What would you like to have in 2010 that you lacked in 2009?
More motivation, period. Especially when it comes to getting my MLS.
7. What date from 2009 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
July 20, 2009 - Move in day for the new Byron Public Library!
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Snagging more hours at work.
9. What was your biggest failure?
As I stated last year, failing would imply that I actually went out and attempted to do something.
10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
Nothing more so than usual.
11. What was the best thing you bought?
Lappy-top!
14. Where did most of your money go?
College loan payments, car insurance payments, health insurance payments, credit card payments, iTunes gift cards and Barnes & Noble. I still need to learn to budget better.
15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
We finally have our new library, we're all moved in and it is wonderful and, after five or more years of fighting against the city so, so worth it.

"The Climb" by Miley Cyrus.
17. Compared to this time last year, are you:
Happier or sadder? A little happier.
Older or wiser? Older.
Thinner or Fatter? Not thinner. Never thinner.
Richer or poorer? Eh...middling there too.
18. What do you wish you'd done more of?
Exercising, spending time with my friends and family.
19. What do you wish you'd done less of?
Sitting at the computer, eating.
20. How will did you spend Christmas?
Christmas was at my house again, for both sides of the family.
22. Did you fall in love in 2009?
Yeah, ha ha ha no.
23. How many one-night stands?
Seriously, enough is enough.
24. What was your favourite TV program?
Toss-up between CSI: New York, NCIS, and Castle.
25. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?
Hmm..."hate" is a fairly strong word. I'll just say I strongly dislike their actions rather than the person or persons themself/selves.
26. What was the best book you read?
Another fairly broad literary spectrum this year. I think it's a tie between the Thoene's A.D. Chronicles series and the Passages series by Paul McCusker.
27. What was your greatest musical discovery?
Straight No Chaser! And on the subject of non-musical discovery, Adventures in Odyssey.
28. What did you want and get?
My laptop computer! Also, a new digital camera once my other one went kaput.
29. What did you want and not get?
Well, I didn't expect a whole lot so I wasn't disappointed. Funny how well that works.

Up!
31. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
Turned 28. Nothing of note to report on that day.
32. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
The Byron Library moved into our new building. Nothing could be more satisfying than that.

The usual people.
38. Who was the best new person you met?
Jill, one of my new co-workers.
39. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2009:
It doesn't matter how many times you tell the public when the library is going to be closed - they're still going to try to come in while you're preparing to move and want to check something out or use the computer.
40. Quote a song lyric that sums up your year:
"Ain't about how fast I get there, ain't about what's waiting on the other side, it's the climb."
