Last summer my parents had our kitchen redone, including getting new light fixtures. Since I'm amping to redo my bedroom this summer (hopefully), we decided to swap out my ceiling fan for the kitchen's old one.
So, fast-forward to today when Dad decided to do the fan-swapping because a) it was too bluchy out to do yardwork and b) my old fan was making noise. Everything was going fine, until Dad turned on my new/old fan to see if the light worked...and the light fixture started smoking.
Needless to say, I'm typing this under the light and cool breeze of a brand-new (and quiet!) fan.

Have pre-ordered The Art of Robotech: The Shadow Chronicles from Barnes & Noble. I find it strange that the book is available to order from Robotech.com right now, but won't be released at B&N until the end of July.
At least it's better than pre-ordering from Amazon; it's release date is end of August there.
