Okay, how's this for ironic? Stabler and Munch, the two detectives who got shot in last week's episode of SVU, are the two who wind up working the case in tonight's episode. And Elliot, who got most of the airtime this week, is in an arm cast for roughly 3/4 of the episode! I swear, it's enough to make me start laughing.
I did feel kind of sorry for the SWAT team Elliot led into the suspect's apartment. They were probably expecting to find some sort of monster that it would take at least two or three men to apprehend, go to all that trouble of breaking down the guy's door and making an entrance, and what do they find?
An old guy sitting in bed, sucking air through an oxygen cannula because he's dying from pancreatic cancer. You could almost see the disappointment on Stabler's face when he got a first good look at the guy.
Believe it or not, even though he claimed he couldn't remember the identity of the boy in the box, I hope that the suspect still got the deal that Novak offered him.
