What do I do now?

A couple months ago, the United Church of Christ decided to support gay marriage rights.

I was thrilled with this news.

This Sunday, my church voted not to support the UCC's resolution.

I do not agree with this decision.

I haven't been a big church goer of late - I'd just attend services where Mom and I had to usher or greet, holiday services like Easter and Christmas, and the occasional "on a whim" church attendance. I paid offering less frequently than I attended.

So now I'm questioning whether or not I should just quit going altogether, even stop coming into the church office on Fridays to help the secretary put together the Sunday bulletin. I don't know if I want to be part of a church that claims tolerance and acceptance, but doesn't practice it.
