To quote Griff - Hell, at this point, it's a bunny six feet tall named Harvey
First of all, Akino, my eternal thanks for sending me Epilogue. That was. Fucking. AWESOME.
Okay, seriously, if you don't want to be spoiled for pretty much THE main plot point of Epilogue, don't, I repeat, DON'T click on this LJ-cut. If you click on it, you have no one to blame but yourself.
First of all, it may sound a tad strange coming from me (because how often do I say this?), but damn Terry's hot as an adult. It also seems that sometime between now and the end of Batman Beyond, Terry got around to telling Dana about the whole 'being-Batman-thing'. And is it bad that my first thought when Terry broke up with Dana was "and all the fanbrats thought Dana would be the one to end things between them"?
I had a feeling that Bruce was going to turn out to be Terry's real father when Terry went into that whole spiel about how great his dad was to him even if he didn't appreciate it. Wasn't sure how it exactly happened, but I had a feeling. It surprised me that Waller was behind the whole thing and not Bruce. Obviously he's not the only one who can manipulate people.
Also, I liked him better when he had hair. Bald!Bruce I am not too fond of. Though it was kind of sad and pathetic seeing him crawling on the ground scrambling for his pills.
Of course, this episode did leave one issue wide open - Terry McGinnis is not the only son of Warren and Mary McGinnis.
Which means, unless Waller's rewriting of Warren's DNA into Bruce's somehow wore off, Matt McGinnis is also the son of Bruce Wayne.
Hence, the six-foot tall plotbunny mentioned in the subject line.
It'd make a good one shot - after reconciling with Dana and the JLU, Terry realizes an implication of Waller's handiwork that probably never occured to her and goes to talk to his brother (after wrestling with whether or not he should tell him). Matt's in high school, probably around the same age Terry was when he took up the mantle of the Bat. Unsure of Matt's reaction at this point, but it'd be left open-ended as to whether or not Matt joins "the family business" alongside his brother.
*puts that on her list of Fics to Write*
After having done animated series of Batman, Superman, the Justice League and the Teen Titans, the only logical thing left to be covered in the DCAU is Young Jusice.
