Officially semi-employed
As of Wednesday of this week, I am now on-call as a subsitute teacher's aide for the Byron elementary school. So far I've had to sub twice already, and it hasn't been too bad. Helping with Pre-K was like doing crowd control (20 kids, all of them under six years of age...aughhh!). Helping with first grade today wasn't too bad. Unfortunately the mood around the school was less than chipper, because a lot of teachers are being let go at the end of the year due to budget cuts (a huge mess that I won't go into right now even though I think it's really stupid).
But, I'm not going to dwell on that. For now, I have a semi-regular job (I'm expecting to be called in at least once or twice a week to sub), which means money to pay back student loans (and for other assorted things).
