And I have to give props to Chief of NIU Police Donald Grady for the way he handled the reporters during the news conference last night, basically telling them "I can't tell you information that we don't know, so stop asking me". That and his response to a reporter's question about what the gunman was wearing: "Clothes".

How are you doing? It's kinda your geographical area, and...well, it was deeply disturbing for me to hear about yesterday and I haven't lived or gone to school in IL in four years.

I'm doing okay. Dekalb isn't exactly in my backyard, but it's still close enough to be frightening. Especially since a couple hospitals in Rockford are where they sent some of the injured, and one of the victims died in St. Anthony's ER.
