I know it's never been explicitly stated in canon, but do all wizards get their wands when they turn eleven, or can they obtain them earlier?

I *think* they get them when they start wizarding school, whatever age that may be. That's not to say that they haven't used a wand before then, heck if mom and dad have wands laying around the house...

I THINK it's eleven, but I'm sure pureblood wizarding families get around that rule a lot with or without major status. I think the eleven thing seems to be a fanon rule for muggleborns.

Well, since they're expected to get a wand before they go to Hogwarts, I figure you can use a little wiggle room and have some families bend the rules to get them earlier. No doubt the Malfoys did.

I'll back the majority of these. Without canon to back it, the last point of snagging one would be 11, right before school, but even without some pull or anything, I'm sure some families might get them earlier, by a few monthes to maybe a year in advance, whenever they start 'school' shopping and such.
