Dashing off a quick meme before I'm workbound.

Comment and I will give you 3 interests on your list, and 3 icons, for you to explain.

[livejournal.com profile] bobomagicksock asked about...

cheekyweebisom: Someone who's on my friendslist. It was one of those "add so-and-so to your interests" things.

richard hunt: My all-time favorite Muppet performer. Richard was the genuis behind and beneath such Muppet characters as Scooter, Beaker, Statler, Forgetful Jones and Junior Gorg.

gelfling: A race of creatures from Jim Henson's The Dark Crystal. They kinda look like elves, only they're about as small as hobbits.

: That's Sokka from Avatar: The Last Airbender. It's a pretty solid series for a cartoon; awesome characters, storytelling and lots of action. The quote is from one of last season's episodes, from the scene depicted in the icon. It's now become the icon I associate with any work-related posts in my LJ.

: A quote from one of CSI: Miami's first season episodes. Damn, I miss Speedle...

: Black square icon. I made it after my grandmother passed away two years ago; couldn't think of any other icon at the time to use.

80's cheese--music, movies, fashion...I love it. Duran Duran, leg warmers, Weird Science.

come stay go-it's pigeon (hawaiian, one of my mother's best friends is from the big island so we through random phrases like that around a lot. It basically means 'stay a while'

bands with odd names-I tend to find music this way. If the band has an odd name I'm likely to check them out. Mountain Goats, anyone?

Dr. Guy Secretan from Green Wing. British medical comedy. He is the world champion player of Guy Ball. A game he created himself that includes knocking over people in wheel chairs while you wear a garbage can on your head. (fans have since turned it into a real game with rules okayed by the actor and show writers)

-Labyrinth. I am a huge Jim Henson fan and this quick little throw away scene is one of my favorites from the movie.

-sometimes it's better to say screw the world and stay in my own little universe. :)
