Perhaps its time to switch to a different brand of vacuum cleaner...
Okay, around our house we use an Electrolux upright vacuum cleaner. Lately we've been having problems with it along the lines of the vacuum not turning on when the switch is flipped. Usually to make it work we have to push on the top of the machine. For the past four times that my mom's called the Electrolux company to have someone come out to look at the thing, the repair guy has been a no-show. Last night the repair person was supposed to show up and he never did, so my mom gave Electrolux a call today. Essentially the conversation went something like this:
Mom = Mom (obviously)
EG = Electrolux guy
Mom: The repair man was supposed to come by our house to look at the vacuum yesterday between 5 and 6, and we waited until 7 and he never showed.
EG: Well, we have you down as needing service on Wednesday.
Mom: ...Yesterday was Wednesday.
EG: ...Oh.
*facepalms* Now I realize that with the holiday season and all the days might start to kind of blur together. But you'd think that if you had repair appointments you'd try to keep the days straight!
