And I must say, I wholeheartedly agree with you in the case of Kai Winn. She deserves much sporkage. MUCH sporkage. With a rusty, blunted spork.

Honestly, I was getting worried that I was the only Minmei supporter out there...

Honestly, I just don't understand why she's hated so much. Sure, her songs may seem kind of on the sappy side and they don't resemble the original Japanese songs, but considering that a) Robotech is an amalgamation of three completely different Japanese mechanime and b) the dubbing and everything was done in the 1980s, they are fairly decent.
Then there's the "OMG, Minmei SO tried to break up Rick and Lisa's TWU WUV!!!!!11eleventyone!" Considering the amount of time Rick and Lisa kept dancing around their feelings for each other (not to mention the fact that Rick was still crushing on Minmei), there really wasn't a couple there for Minmei TO interfere with. That was not a one-sided love triangle.
