1. You're a handsome devil. What’s your name?
Lady Iapetus, Roving Wanderer. That's the final, shortened version of my "title"; if you want to see the full version, go check my user info.

2. Ever write under any other name?
I tried writing under the moniker "Yellow Rose" during my brief stint in the Chicago Hope fandom. I've written under my real name during my time with the Ally McBeal fandom. And technically I write under the name Skeeter Muppet in the Muppet fandom when I do my TMS outlines.

3. Look around you. How did you end up here?
Josie (I believe it was Josie) was kind enough to supply me with an LJ invite code back in the day when LJ still used those.

4. Favourite line from the song you're listening to right now, or last listened to?
"Our hearts can say we're here to stay,
but we always say goodbye."
--"Petals of a Rose", Fraggle Rock Change of Address.

5. What's the last movie you saw that inspired something ficcish in you?
Full movie? Short Circuit 2. Bits and pieces/teaser of a movie? The Incredibles. Something Xmen-ish with Violet.

6. Is there a character you'd like to write, but can't-- and why the hell can't you?
Oh, there are a lot of characters that I'd just love to write for but can't. I think I find the list growing every time I pick up a new fandom or something. Most of the time it's because I don't feel like I could do that particular character justice, especially compared to those authors out there who are better than I am.

7. We all hate favourite questions, I know, but-- who's your favourite character (a) to read? (b) to write?
A) I am constantly on the lookout for fics that have second-tier or minor characters written well and respectfully, regardless of whether or not they're the focus of the fic or not. If said second-tier character is being "evil", there had better be a damn good, logical reason for his/her actions (in other words, it's not being done just to bash the character and make the "important" characters look good).

B) Shiuchon, Jaarin, Iori, Kouichi and Chiaki. I say this because they're the only characters that I've features in fics that were actually finished (there are other fics that are slated for rewrites).

8. Who's your least favourite character (a) to read? (b) to write?
A) Most of the main casts of the Digimon series. Because a lot of the time those characters are bastardized beyond recognition.

B) Again, the main cast. Because everyone writes about them, and I don't like to do what everyone else is doing (unless it's a cliche-buster. Then, all bets are off *insert evil grin smiley here*)

9. Is there a story you'd like to write, but can't-- and why can't you?
Recently I've declared myself a part of the Doctor Who fandom. Someone attempted (and I use the term loosely) to write a Doctor Who/Digimon (Adventure seasons) crossover. I'd like to do better. In fact, I know I could, if I could just get the ideas to settle down into one coherant...thing.

10. What's a title you've always wanted to use, but haven't had the opportunity yet?
"A World Without Danger," which is the translated English title of the theme to the French cartoon Code: LYOKO. I'd love to use it in a Digimon fic of some sort; I think it would work.

11. What was the first story you ever completed, and what do you think of it now?
"It's You." PR songfic done to the song of the same name from the Robotech series, Billy/Kim romance set post-Billy's departure from the series in Zeo. Looking back...I know I can do better than that.

12. What was the last story you completed, and what do you think of it now?
"Dancing Lessons." I took my time with it, plotted it out and tried my darndest to fake people out as far as some of the romances went. And by golly, it worked! :D

13. Where do you do most of your writing?
My writing I do at my computer, or a spiral notebook I take with me whenever and wherever I travel, just in case an idea springs into my head. And where do I get ideas? Oh, from just about everywhere, although I have to reign them in at work.

14. Do you have any fic taboos?
Mary Sues are the fanfiction equivalent of the anti-Christ; avoid them at all costs. NEVER post a story without running it through a spellchecker, grammar-checker AND a beta-reader, or in lieu thereof a friend you KNOW won't hesitate to tell you where your mistakes are. Finally, once the fic is posted and starts receiving reviews, DON'T act like a baby or a total ass whenever you receive concrit. Those reviewers aren't doing it to be mean; they're doing it to help you improve. Improvement is a good thing.

15. What made you start writing fic? Were you filled with creative juices, or was it a random act of plot correction?
Plot correction, CH fandom - "what would have happened if Alan Birch hadn't died on Geiger's operating table"? I rarely acknowledge the fact that I ever wrote that fic anymore.

16. Who has influenced your style the most?
Hmm...that's kind of hard to pin down. I think there have been too many for me to narrow the field.

17. What is the sexiest word?
Damned if I know.

18. What is the least sexy word?
Any sort of cuss or swear word.

19. What's the word you use too much/often?
Said. I try to use synonyms as much as possible, but I always find myself coming back to "said."

20. You're a writer. By definition you are plagued and pursued by images. So what image is burned into your brain right now?
Random scenes from a rather interesting crossover of Doctor Who, Digimon Tamers and A Series of Unfortunate Events. The most persistant images are the 3rd Doctor using a billiards analogy for how Rassilon split apart the Doctor's seven incarnations, and Sunny Baudelaire trying to catch up with her sister Violet as she enters the Master's TARDIS. (Don't. Ask.)

21. If you were going to write professionally under an assumed name, what would that name be?
My first name (Kim), and a last name that's easy to spell and pronounce. If I'm not married by that point in time, it'll be something I make up. Like maybe "Foster."

22. If you'd made out this survey, what question would you have asked that I didn't?
Do you have any habits about you're writing (good, bad, strange or otherwise)? Can you write better with music or background noise, or silence? What writing "medium" do you prefer (word proccesor, HTML editor, etc.)?
