CartoonGirl007 is driving me nuts. How the hell do I tell her that we don't want to read a romance fic between her and Cherubimon without resorting to a 2x4 to the back of the head?

*sputters* Why on earth would she ever think that someone would want to read that sort of thing?

It's giving me horrible flashbacks to that one fic where the author wrote herself into a story where the Kaiser raped her, and midway through, she actually began to enjoy it.

Ugh. I wish I hadn't remembered that fic. It still causes me ulcers.

Maybe you should tell her that you'd like to see a story by her that uses only the canon characters for once. Give her a challange. Maybe it won't come off as, "ARGH! Stop causing me such PAIN!"

Okay, trying to be nice which isn't too easy at 9:45 in the morning. Now, a nice way of telling somebody to shut the hell up without using a 2x4...
Erm, well, aside from using a katana (which always seems to work for me), I guess just coming right out and telling her is the best. Unless we let her find out for herself on FFN, which will lead to her begging for reviews and finding Cloaked Fox breathing down her neck with the cold hard truth...

When people start writing SIs you wonder if they have a life outside of fanfiction... just guide them away from fanfics and into the outside world to be rehabilitated. Letting her post and see for herself would be a bad mistake, some people seem to like reading SI fics for some reason... chances are she'd get a comment along the lines of "very original idea, never seen anyone pair themselves with Cherubimon". And such encouragement is bad, it'll lead to more writing.

I just hope nobody encourages David Benioff, he violated The Iliad and every Troy myth in existance. What he does to canon characters should result in one of my colourful metaphors, like distension by a bookcase.

I think I need to agree with Akino in the end. Either simply tell her right now, or let her write it and find out for herself. I can't say much, considering Warped, but I don't see the large problem with SI, as long as it isn't used to try and escape reality.

That and we don't know her writing style, so she might be alright about it, but guessing from her age and the way she acts, I'm thinking she is a bit too young to be writing on the level she wants to be. ^_^;;
