And here we have another meme, found in various places on my friends list. We're having a party...a Halloween party... )

Halloween kind of sucked this year. We only had 48 trick or treaters come to our house this year. Last year we had 65 show up. And that's way down from previous years when we used to have 100-some kids (on average) come to our door. Mom says it's because the moms and dads like to take their kids out to the newer subdivisions that have sidewalks, so that they can walk through and hit all the houses.

On a semi-related note, I took part in Travel Channel's "Most Haunted Live" broadcast this year. Like hundreds of other people obsessed with who watch the show, I tuned into the webcams that they had set up in the tavern to see if I could see something. I mainly stayed on cameras 1 and 3, which were in the bar and in the cellar corridor, respectively. I'm not too sure about the cellar hallway, but I'm pretty sure I saw some activity in the bar. At one point (about 5:51 PM) there were audible voices; there was some singing, and there was a woman's voice that said the name "Lisa". I'm not sure how close the MHL crew was to that area, so I don't know if that can be pinned on them or not. There was also what sounded like a really hard wind blowing through the room at that point. About five minutes after that the camera panned left to some tables, and at the same time there were some crashes and also a yelling or moaning sound that occured while the camera was moving. I was kind of excited, because if it was true paranormal phenomena, it's the closest I've ever come to experiencing something like that.

And it looks like I'm not going to be doing NaNoWriMo this year after all. I had wanted to do it, and then whole thing with my grandmother happened which put kind of a damper on my writing (both of my Diaries series are on indefinite hiatus) and I debated whether or not to go ahead and try it or to wait. Guess it's too late for me to decide to do it now, huh?

On the other hand, I've got 365 days to come up with something for next year's NaNoWriMo...
