Well, my dental track record is now officially broken - I am the proud owner of a filling. I knew what was going to happen the minute I saw the novecaine on the equipment tray.
It made most of the afternoon interesting, as my appointment was at 10:15 AM and the novecaine didn't wear off until after 3:00 PM.
