A little fic update for those who are interested.

Being a substitute aide at the elementary school doesn't allow for a lot of free time, especially if I have to work the full school day. Yet, somehow, I've managed to finish Dancing Lessons, my Kouichi/Chiaki Valentine's Day fic. I'm aiming to post it on Valentine's Day, although I'll probably do some scene tweaking beforehand.

Also a little anxious/nervous about posting it because I'm trying to fool the readers into thinking I wrote a certain pairing as the secondary couple when it's actually a completely different pairing, and I am really curious about the reactions I'm going to get. Which is why I'm halfway tempted to post the thing a week early, just to see.

In other fic news, I've decided to write for one of my favorite obscure fandoms - the Short Circuit movies. Since watching the second one I've been carrying around a plot nugget of just what happened between Johnny Five's capture of Oscar and the citizenship ceremony at the end of the film. The plot bunny decided to resurrect itself the last time I watched what parts of that movie I have on tape, so I finally decided to sit down and plot it. Right now it is tenatively titled Fixing Johnny, includes Newton and Stephanie flying to New York after hearing about what happened to Number Five and adding a minor "fix" to the ending of the movie, and will probably be a somewhat lengthy (for me) one-shot.

Maybe now the muse'll leave me alone about that blasted Digimon/Short Circuit crossover...
