Re: CSI 802 - A la Carte

While Mom's downstairs bitching and moaning about the 2nd Cubs playoff game being delayed because the game before them is still in the bottom of the 8th, I'll regale you with my thoughts about tonight's CSI.

First of all, I hate to rain on the writers' parade, but the whole "truck tire fragment can take off a person's head at 60 mph" idea...Mythbusters proved it first (and their rig was much cooler than Grissom's)! So there!

(although, now I want to see Grissom teaming up with Adam and Jamie on something. I mean, Miami had Jeff Corwin in its second season. NY had Criss Angel...CSI meets the Mythbusters would be totally feasible! Greg could be an honorary Mythtern!)

Wow. Ecklie didn't turn out to be as much of a bastard villain as I thought he would be tonight.

The "blind restaurant" re-enactment scenes would have been so much more, how should I say this...well, I would have taken them more seriously if that cheezy "spooky/haunted house" music hadn't been added in. On the other hand, I felt sorry for poor Brass, having to interview the restaurant patrons.

As for the ending scene with all of the team but Sara racing go-karts...first of all, was anyone else as surprised as I was to see Doc Robbins out there racing? Second, can we say "foreshadowing", boys and girls?

Also, Grissom's hat in his scene with Sara? My grandpa has that hat. What should that tell you?
